A Visa is required for travellers:
- who are not citizens of the ECOWAS countries, South Korea,
- who arrive on a private aircraft or boat
- who intend to accept paid or unpaid employment in Liberia, this also applies to journalists.
- who have a diplomatic or official status and who are travelling to Liberia on an official mission
- who wish to immigrate to Liberia.
Important Notice:
The Visa you receive from the consulate is an Entry Visa – either single entry or multiple entry. When arriving in the Liberian airport you will meet the Immigrations Officer, who will issue you with a Visiting Visa – which will be cover your stay until 90 days if requested. After 90 days you shall seek an extension with the Department of Immigration & Naturalization.

Any visa will only issued upon accepted bank transfer receipt or cash payment at collection
Visas may be collected in person by identification (picture ID-card) at the consulate office or by adequately stamped envelope enclosed in the application. Choice of whether postal service shall be registered-mail or normal-mail is up to the applicant, as long as stamping corresponds.
Expect 5 working days for processing a visa application
Notice to travellers: Any payments in Liberia by creditcards (Mastercard, Visa, Diners, AMEX etc.) are NOT accepted - ONLY CASH - neither at hotels or shops.
